Liverpool are showing a strong interest in signing Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala – and could offer him a pre-contract agreement within weeks.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who claim that Liverpool are ‘carefully observing’ Dybala’s situation at Juventus.

The Argentinian forward is out of contract this summer and looks like he’s going to leave Juve for absolutely nothing.

Dybala is allegedly interested in joining Liverpool, and a pre-contract offer ‘could arrive in the coming weeks’ as the Reds look for a huge coup.

Inside the final six months of his deal, Dybala can agree a deal to join another club from July 1st.

Liverpool struck a similar kind of deal to sign defender Joel Matip from Schalke back in 2016, but this would be an even bigger move.

Dybala, 28, has been in great form this season, bagging 11 goals and four assists in 23 outings for Juventus.

Dybala can play up front, as a number 10 or in from the right flank, offering something of a Swiss army knife in attack.

His total record with Juve now stands at 111 goals and 46 assists in 277 games, becoming a star with the Turin giants.

The biggest praise sent Dybala’s way came from Maurizio Zamparini, the ex-owner of Dybala’s former club Palermo.

Zamparini claims there is no other player in world football so close to the style of Lionel Messi.

Argentinian, left-footed, outstanding technique, diminutive… you can understand some of that, even if Messi has reached an almost unreachable standard in his career.

Liverpool have never really used a number 10 under Jurgen Klopp, and haven’t really gone for another playmaker since selling Philippe Coutinho four years ago.

Dybala would be able to provide that flair and guile in the final third, and signing him for nothing would be a staggering move.

This just doesn’t feel like a Liverpool move though. They don’t tend to go for established stars, Thiago Alcantara aside.

Dybala may just be that special that Liverpool are prepared to ditch their usual approach and go all out for a player who would make their attack even more terrifying.
