Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Kia Joorabchian is having no say in Vitor Pereira possibly being Everton’s next manager, as he told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports.

The Sky reporter added that the 53-year-old is ‘not represented’ by football agent, Joorabchian, with Pereira the ‘leading contender’ for the vacant Everton role.

Everton sacked Rafa Benitez over a week ago, and in the meantime, they have put Duncan Ferguson in charge.

There has been a lot of crirism aimed towards owner Farhad Moshiri and how he has been running the club.

Some have been questioning whether Joorabchian, who is the fellow countryman of Moshiri, has been playing any role on what has been happening behind-the-scenes at Goodison Park.

Solhekol shared what he has been told about Pereira and Joorabchian regarding the Everton job.

“At the moment, the leading contender is Vitor Pereira,” said Solhekol. “He’s very impressive when he talks about himself and his ideas and vision.

“I think it’s important to stress that he is not represented by Kia Joorabchian.

“A lot of people saying that Kia Joorabchian is in the ear of the Everton owner, Farhad Moshiri, telling him what to do.

“He is not Vitor Pereira’s agent. Vitor doesn’t have an agent. He is represented by a Portuguese lawyer.”

If Everton go down the Pereira route, then it probably won’t sit down well with the supporters and rightly so.

The Goodison Park faithful don’t trust those in the boardroom as it is, so the decisions they make becomes even more crucial.

Everton need someone in the dugout the fans can believe in and they can trust, which probably points towards an individual who understands the club and has been part of it before.

Someone like big Dunc is staring everyone in the face, whilst there is a certain Wayne Rooney working wonders at Derby County.
