Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is nearing a move to Paris Saint-Germain – but Daniel Levy has yet to sign off on the deal.
That’s according to Get French Football News, who claim that a deal has now been agreed in principle for Ndombele to head to PSG.
The deal will be a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy, whilst PSG will cover all of Ndombele’s wages.
The last hurdle to clear is Levy, as the Tottenham chairman has yet to fully sanction the deal to go through.
Levy is still trying to secure a permanent exit now, or at least a loan with obligation to buy, just so Ndombele doesn’t end up back at Tottenham.
We will soon see whether PSG can get the deal done, but everything appears to be heading in the right direction.
Ndombele, 25, was Tottenham’s record signing back in 2019, securing a £55million move from Lyon to North London.
The Frenchman had shown huge quality as a ball-carrier and progressive passer, looking like the ideal heir to Mousa Dembele.
Unfortunately, that just hasn’t happened. Ndombele’s deficiencies off the ball have frustrated many, including Jose Mourinho and now Antonio Conte.
Having been booed off against Morecambe earlier this month, Ndombele has now been axed from the Tottenham squad.

His time at Tottenham is up, and having been born in the south of Paris, a return to the French capital has to be appealing.
Additionally, this move will see him work under Mauricio Pochettino again – the man who signed Ndombele for Tottenham in the first place.
The terms of the deal mean there will be no swap deal with Tottenham, with three PSG players linked of late.
The Times report that Tottenham have asked for Leandro Paredes, whilst 90Min claim that Georginio Wijnaldum and Julian Draxler were open to joining Spurs.
It now seems that none of them will be joining Tottenham after all, with Ndombele’s PSG move seemingly a straight loan with option to buy.
