Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised James Milner on Sky Sports News (1:25pm, January 22, 2022) and has compared him to Adam Lallana.
Klopp has said that he never had a player like Milner and has sung the praises of the Liverpool star.
The Liverpool boss has added how the former Leeds United and Newcastle United star is similar to Adam Lallana, a player the Reds let go in the summer of 2020.
The 33-year-old attacking midfielder is at Brighton and Hove Albion at the moment.
Klopp said about Milner on Sky Sports News (1:25pm, January 22, 2022): “I never had a player like him, to be honest. He keeps things together. Before I have realised that something is wrong, he has fixed it.”
The Liverpool boss added: “Millie gives his absolute everything. I can’t remember a session where Millie was not at 100%.
“That’s probably because it has never happened. Hendo is this kind of player, Adam Lallana was this kind of player, he probably is still.”

Liverpool star James Milner is a Premier League great
In our view, Milner is a Premier League great, and Liverpool need more players like him in the squad.
The 36-year-old can play in a number of positions and plays well in all of them.
The Englishman can operate as a midfielder, winger and full-back.
You could play Milner as a striker or as a goalkeeper, and you can rest assured that the Premier League veteran will put in a good shift.
Milner won the Premier League twice with Manchester City, and has won the Premier League and the Champions League once each with Liverpool.
The 36-year-old is still going strong, and we think that he still has one or two more years in him at the highest level.
