Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, according to 90min.

90min have reported that Arsenal are ready to pay Arthur his full weekly salary of €168,000 (£140,606.37).

The Gunners want to sign the Brazilian midfielder on loan until the end of the season.

Arsenal and Arthur are now in agreement over a move, according to 90min.

However, Juventus reportedly want to offload Arthur on a longer term deal and have yet to give the green light to the transfer.

Interestingly, Tuttosport had earlier reported that Arsenal have accepted to sign Arthur on an 18-month loan deal, as asked by Juventus.

Could Arthur Melo leave Juventus for Arsenal?

In our view, it is very likely that Arsenal will be able to sign Arthur from Juventus in the January transfer window.

Two of the three parties involved in the deal want it to be done.

Juventus will surely not want to keep a player who wants to leave.

Now, of course, the Italian giants will want favourable terms, but, in our opinion, a deal could happen in the final days of the January transfer window.

Arthur has made four starts and four substitute appearances in Serie A so far this season.

The former Barcelona midfielder has also made one start and three substitute appearances in the Champions League for Juventus so far this season.
