Fulham fans already knew that Fabio Carvalho could open up a defence with a lock-picking through-ball.
They already knew that he could dance around opposition defenders with a skip and a shimmy that would not look out of place at the London Palladium.
What Fulham fans might not have been aware of, however, is that their 5ft 5ins wonderkid also possesses the kind of bullet header that compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo would be proud of.
Carvalho scored his sixth and seventh of the season as Marco Silva’s Fulham ran riot again on Tuesday night, taking their tally to a remarkable 19 goals in three Championship fixtures with a 6-2 obliteration of Birmingham City.
The 19-year-old’s 35th minute effort, brilliantly glanced into the far corner, was his first headed goal at senior level.
It’s unlikely to be his last, either, if the supreme technique he showed at Craven Cottage in midweek is anything to go by.
“Carvalho is a key player for us,” said Silva.
His Fulham side are the first in 88 years to hit six in three straight English league games.

“He gave us very good things. It has been a season of ups and downs for him and rumours around him that didn’t help, but always I see the same commitment.”
Will Liverpool sign Fulham wonderkid Fabio Carvalho?
Those ‘rumours’ are not going to stop anytime soon, however.
Another sparkling performance as Fulham put Birmingham for six won’t have gone unnoticed in the division above.
The vultures are circling. And with Carvalho out of contract in the summer, they’re smelling blood too.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are confident of securing the teenager’s signature. That is despite competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham, Leeds and West Ham United.
Their confidence isn’t misguided either.
Carvalho’s agent, the influential Jorge Mendes, believes that Anfield is the ideal place for the Lisbon-born playmaker to realise his staggering potential (The Mail).
Given the way Jurgen Klopp has transformed Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and more into elite-level talents, into Champions League and Premier League winners, Mendes may be onto something.
