Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Everton sacking former Anfield manager Rafael Benitez.
Everton have announced on their official website this afternoon that Benitez has been relieved of his duties as the manager.
The former Real Madrid boss was appointed in the role at Goodison Park in the summer of 2021.
However, results and performances have been disappointing, and Everton could now be in a Premier League relegation battle.
Carragher has said on Twitter that Liverpool fans are chanting Benitez’s name at Anfield at the moment.
Liverpool are playing against Brentford at Anfield in the Premier League at the moment.

Rafael Benitez always doomed at Everton
In our view, it was always unlikely that Benitez was going to last at Everton for long.
Not many Everton fans wanted the club to appoint the Spaniard in the first place.
After all, Benitez is a former Liverpool manager who won the Champions League with the Reds.
Moreover, the former Chelsea interim-manager is a defensive-minded coach, and Everton fans want to see attacking football.
It will be interesting to see who now replaces Benitez as the Everton manager.
