Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand and his co-hosts have been discussing potential striker signings for Arsenal.

Ferdinand was chatting about the recent links to Dusan Vlahovic, and with that deal looking increasingly difficult, the Manchester United legend put another name out there – Sebastien Haller.

The Frenchman has been shining for Ajax this season, he’s the top scorer in the Champions League, while he’s also hit double figures in the Eredivisie already.

What’s Ferdinand said about Haller?

The pundit spoke about potential Arsenal signings

“You know two players who Arsenal should crawl across broken glass for,, Ivan Toney and Tammy Abraham, both of those players would do bits for you guys,” Ferdinand’s co-host said.

“I don’t think they score enough goals in the Premier League for me, I’m sorry,” Gunners fan Joel Beya added.

“I reckon Haller would be good for you lot,” Ferdinand stated.

Struggled in the Premier League

Haller may be shining for Ajax right now, but let’s not forget just how much he struggled in the Premier League.

He netted just 10 goals in a season and a half at West Ham, and he really didn’t seem suited to English football.

Of course, players can improve and transform, but it was only one year ago that Haller left West Ham.

It would be a massive gamble for any Premier League team to take a punt on Haller, let alone Arsenal who simply have to get their next striker signing spot on.
