DC fans are swooning over the new HBO Max series Peacemaker. But, who plays Vigilante in the show?
The series, based on DC’s anti-hero, debuted on HBO Max on January 13 with its first three episodes.
The show and John Cena’s portrayal of Christopher Smith, aka Peacemaker, has already left the fans mesmerized.
However, the Peacemaker isn’t the only one commanding the attention of the viewers. Here’s a look at Vigilante.
Who plays Vigilante in HBO Max’s Peacemaker?
Actor Freddie Stroma plays Vigilante, aka Adrian Chase, in Peacemaker.
The 35-year-old has played roles in titles like Harry Potter, Bridgerton and ABC’s Time After Time.
The English actor played the role of Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2.
He also starred in the films like Pitch Perfect and After The Dark.
Freddie was also seen as Dickon Tarly in Game Of Thrones in 2016.
Most recently, he portrayed Prince Friederich in Bridgerton season 1. He was featured in the episodes The Duke and I, Art of the Swoon and An Affair of Honor.
Who exactly is Vigilante?
Peacemaker brings John Cena’s character from The Suicide Squad to the small screen. In the series, the anti-hero finds himself shoulder to shoulder with Vigilante, another DC antihero.
Vigilante’s real name is Adrian Chase, and the character first appeared in New Teen Titans #23 in September 1982.
In season 5 of the DC show Arrow, actor Josh Segarra was cast in the role of Adrian Chase.
The DC anti-hero or perhaps villain is a dark-clad, gun-bearing character. Like Peacemaker, his concept of justice is brutal and he plays the judge, jury and executioner all by himself.
What’s the plot of the show?
The HBO Max show follows Christopher Smith, aka Peacemaker, who has a brand new mission in front of him.
John Cena’s character aims to untangle a grave conspiracy and in the process, crosses paths with a fellow anti-hero Vigilante and Judomaster.
Fans have been over the moon ever since the new show dropped. Many found the intro very humouring.
