American rapper Shandler Beaubien, who was famously known as Wavy Navy Pooh, has passed away, according to The Miami Herald. On learning about his tragic passing, fans rushed to Twitter to pay him a tribute.

The information regarding his death was confirmed by law-enforcement sources to the news outlet.

Who was Shandler Beaubien, aka Wavy Navy Pooh?

Wavy Navy Pooh was a 28-year-old rapper based in Miami. He was best known for his debut song M.I.A.M.I (Murder is a Major Issue).

The single released in August 2020 has got more than 200,000 views on YouTube.

He was signed to the record label Quality Control. According to his description on the official site, Shandler wore his heart on his sleeve with “vivid and hard-hitting tracks” that reflected his upbringing.

He is believed to have grown up in “one of Miami’s most dangerous districts”.

Talking about his single M.I.A.M.I and its significance, the rapper had said, as per the bio on his record label’s website: “Hip hop inspired me because I always saw a way out for people like myself coming from nothing…I want to be a legend when it’s all said & done. I want the world to know the other side of Miami.”

Shandler’s Instagram profile details his work in music. The rapper mostly used the platform to share updates on his latest songs.

He has collaborated with several artists. Only fours days ago, he shared a video of himself from the recording studio, collaborating with fellow rapper Revenge Therapy.

And, his last official music video for the song ‘Who Want Smoke‘ was released on YouTube only a month ago.

Fans react to Shandler Beaubien’s tragic death

Wavy Navy Pooh’s fans are unable to believe that the rapper has passed away. They took to Twitter to pay him a tribute and send his family their prayers.

One fan remembered him by tweeting, “Rip my guy #wavynavypooh. A Real one P”

Another said, “Wow! RIP to WavyNavyPooh…he was so talented and just getting started”

“I’m so hurt about pooh (wavy navy),” tweeted another devastated fan.
