Chelsea are second with 43 points from 22 matches, while Liverpool are third with 42 points from 20 matches.

Can Liverpool catch Manchester City?

In our view, Manchester City are now the clear favourites, but Guardiola has not won the title yet.

Liverpool have two games in hand.

If the Reds win those two matches, then Klopp’s side will be eight points behind leaders City.

That would still be a considerable gap, but not enough for City to celebrate.

City have lost two Premier League games already this season, and they could still drop points.

In our view, Liverpool can still catch City, but, of course, the Reds need to win their games and must not slip up.
