Aston Villa have offered Watford January transfer target Kortney Hause a new contract, according to The Daily Mail.
The report has claimed that Watford want to sign defender Hause from Premier League rivals Villa in the January transfer window.
The Villans have now offered the 26-year-old defender a new contract.
Hause – who cost Villa £3 million in transfer fees when they signed him on a permanent contract from Wolverhampton Wanderers (The Sun) – has a deal with the Villans until the summer of 2022, with the Premier League club having an option for a further 12 months.
What should Kortney Hause do?
In our view, Hause should accept the new contract offered by Villa and stay at Villa Park.
Watford are in real trouble of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

In our opinion, it would be a risk for Hause to make the move to Watford now.
After all, in a few months’ time, the defender could find himself in the Championship.
Now, of course, we know that Hause is struggling for playing time at Villa at the moment.
The 26-year-old has made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League and has played twice in the Carabao Cup so far this campaign.
However, things could change for Hause in the coming weeks and months under manager Steven Gerrard.
