Speaking on the Football Cliches Podcast, Kier Starmer has been chatting about the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of the North London Derby.

The leader of the Labour Party was due to be heading to Spurs’ new ground for the first time on Sunday, but unfortunately, the game has been postponed and Starmer will

have to wait to visit Spurs’ new ground.

Although the politician will inevitably harbour some ill-will towards Spurs due to his footballing affiliation, he says that he’s really looking forward to seeing the new ground for the first time, claiming that everyone who he’s spoken to about it has said that it’s fantastic.

What’s Starmer said about Spurs’ ground?

The Leader of the Opposition spoke about his upcoming trip to N17.

“We (Arsenal) are much better served than Tottenham in many respects, not just in terms of the transport. Although, I’m really looking forward to going to the stadium actually. I’m going on Sunday for the away game and everyone who has been to the Tottenham Stadium has said it’s fantastic, so I really am looking forward to seeing that,” Starmer said.

State of the art

Even Arsenal fans have to admire just how good Tottenham’s new ground is.

From the outside, it looks incredible, and every part of the ground is simply state of the art.

The concourse is buzzing with life, the stands are built to cultivate the best possible atmosphere, and the playing surface is impeccable.

Spurs’ stadium is absolutely brilliant, and even if Arsenal don’t get the result they want in the Derby, whenever it is played, the fanbase will probably still be able to enjoy their day at this ground.
