Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United are set to miss out on Lazio striker Vedat Muriqi to West Bromwich Albion, according to A Spor.
A Spor have reported that Muriqi is travelling to England to complete a transfer to West Brom from Lazio.
Sky Italia journalist Alfredo Pedulla has reported interest from Championship club West Brom in the 27-year-old Kosovo international striker.
This comes following claims from Lazio-based website La Lazio Siamo Noi that Leeds have made a move for Muriqi, and that progress has been made.
Leeds want to sign the 27-year-old on loan until the end of the season with a permanent option of €8million (£6.7million).
The problem is that Lazio reportedly want that permanent clause to be obligatory.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Vedat Muriqi would be no big miss for Leeds United
In our view, if Leeds are unable to sign to sign Muriqi, then it will not be a big miss for Bielsa as well.
Yes, we understand that Leeds could do with a new striker given Patrick Bamford’s injury problems this season.
Moreover, it is important for Bielsa to have a senior option in attack even when Bamford is fit and playing.
But, in our opinion, Muriqi is not the answer.
The 27-year-old has not scored a single goal in 208 Serie A minutes and 107 Europa League minutes for Lazio this season.
Muriqi scored just one goal in 818 minutes in Serie A last season.
