Sensible decision from Dilan Markanday

In our view, it makes sense for Markanday to leave Tottenham for Blackburn in the January transfer window..

The 20-year-old winger has been a regular in the Tottenham Under-23 side, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in 14 games.

However, the youngster has failed to establish himself in the Spurs first team.

Markanday made his first-team debut for Tottenham in the Europa Conference League against Vitesse Arnhem in October.

Despite impressive form for the Tottenham youth team since, the youngster has not made another first-team experience.

Blackburn are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League, and a move to Markanday could see the youngster grow and develop in a very professional and competitive environment.
