Manchester City are reportedly keeping tabs on 15-year-old Brazilian sensation Endrick, who this week went viral after starring for Palmeiras.

According to Esportes, Pep Guardiola’s side are scouting the teenage attacker, who has exploded onto the scene after having a debut to remember in the Copa Sao Paulo, Brazil’s largest and most famous youth tournament.

The forward bagged a brace, the second of which was an incredible solo goal as Endrick, who was born in 2006, skipped past two defenders before chipping the keeper from close-range.

Indeed, the goal went viral all over social media, with Endrick now the talk of the town in Brazilian football and hailed as the next big thing to come from the South American giants.

Even before this week, the youngster has been turning heads at youth level, with the attacker bagging 165 goals in 169 games across Palmeiras’ development squads.

And now, with City on Endrick’s tail, it will be interesting to see where the forward ends up. As per Esportes, the teenager has the same agent as Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, who left Brazil for Los Blancos just 18.

City will likely face mass competition for Endrick

The Manchester giants are no strangers when it comes to signing Brazilians at a young age, with Gabriel Jesus a mainstay in the City squad since arriving in 2017 and Kayky likely to be the next bright prospect to emerge through the academy.

Yet for Endrick, signing the 15-year-old will be a tall order for City. With the attacker already making waves at such a young age, it will be hard for Guardiola’s side to sign the forward if he continues to develop at a rapid pace.
