Newcastle United have made a move to sign Torino goalscorer Andrea Belotti – but he has rejected a move to St. James’ Park.
That’s according to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, who claim that Torino has snubbed two moves away from Torino.
It’s stated that a ‘rich offer’ has arrived from Saudi Arabia, with Al-Hilal keen to sign Belotti.
Belotti isn’t convinced by a move to the Middle East though, and wants to finish the season with Torino.
For that reason, Belotti has also refused an offer from Newcastle, who are desperate to add a new striker this month.
Callum Wilson’s injury means Newcastle are lacking goal threats in attack, and the net is being cast far and wide.
Belotti is the latest target having smashed 107 goals in 235 games for Torino following a 2015 move from Palermo.
Now 28, Belotti is likely to leave Torino later this year but Newcastle’s offer is coming at the wrong time.

Newcastle are in a battle against relegation, and that’s never likely to tempt Belotti into leaving Torino early.
Compared to Jamie Vardy by Sky Sports, Belotti has been a star in Italy and even has 12 goals in 41 games for the Italian national team.
Belotti seemingly won’t be joining Newcastle this month, but he may be a name for the summer if the Magpies stay up.
