The Epic Games free games list continue for January 2022 and the next title to be released at no cost is Galactic Civilizations III.

PC players should have an impeccable backlogue of titles to playthrough thanks to the EG store’s most recent promotion in December. This provided the community with a bevy of fantastic titles such as Pathfinder, Prey, Control, and the Tomb Raider trilogy.

While lots of the December titles were major AAA names, the new year has also been fantastic so far.

New releases typically arrive on Thursday. This means we should get two more freebies during the first month of the new year on the 20th and 27th.

No leaks have appeared as of writing, but we will update this article if any appear. We will also update this article when official announcements are made by Epic.

Gods Will Fall

Gods Will Fall is the current offer and it is only available to claim until January 13th.

It only came out in the first month of 2021, so it’s a fairly new title. The reviews on Steam are mixed, but – at no cost – it’s a fun enough single-player adventure where you get to defeat numerous gods.

And, unlike most other mediums where the gods are aesthetically nice, these attention seekers are mostly vile with standouts including Yaltogguth (God of Eyes), Methir-Shirraidh (God of Birth), and Breith-Dorcha (God of Decay).

What is the next Epic Games free game?

The next Epic Games free game for January 13th is the strategy title Galactic Civilizations III.

This came out back in 2015, so it’s not a newer release unlike Gods Will Fall. While it’s not very new, a fourth instalment of the series came out in 2021 in early access format.

As for what the game’s all about, it’s a well-reviewed space stragtegy game with an 81 rating on Metacritic. It has online PvP and co-op, and you can choose the race you want to conquer space with from us measly humans to aliens that are definitely not the sexy Mass Effect-type.
