Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh is about to join Cardiff City.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Leeds full-back Drameh will undergo his medical tomorrow and will then be announced as a new Cardiff player.

Romano has added that Leeds and Cardiff have reached an agreement over the loan transfer of the 20-year-old full-back for the rest of the season.

The journalist has added that it will a straight loan until June, and that Championship club Cardiff will have no option to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2022.

Romano has further stated that Leeds see Drameh, who cost the West Yorkshire club who cost Leeds £1 million (The Sun), as a big player for the future.

Sensible decision

In our view, it is sensible of Drameh to join Cardiff on loan from Leeds.

The 20-year-old is just starting his professional club football career, and it is unlikely that he will get much playing time in the Leeds first team this season.

Cardiff are aiming to avoid relegation from the Championship, and playing in a completive environment in a relentless domestic league will only help the England Under-21 international full-back grow and develop as a footballer.
