Speaking on his podcast, Phil Hay has shared what he knows about Leeds United and their recent links to Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara.

Kamara has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs this month, and Hay says that he is a player Leeds have looked at, claiming that he would be a good signing for the Whites.

However, despite Leeds eyeing Kamara, Hay says that he doesn’t get the impression that this is the type of deal that they’re going to be pursuing in the immediate future.

What’s Hay said about Kamara?

The journalist shared what he knows about the Frenchman and Leeds.

“I’ve seen Kamara at Marseille linked as well. He would be good, and I think they have looked at him, but again, I don’t get the impression that they’re on with that one particularly or that they’re going to be doing anything there,” Hay said.

Other options

To be honest, Leeds probably won’t have had much of a chance of winning the race for Kamara’s signature.

The midfielder is being courted by the likes of Roma and Manchester United, while Newcastle are also interested, and their newfound financial might would almost certainly give them an edge over Leeds.

The Whites need a bit of extra cover in the midfield, but it seems as though Kamara won’t be the man who comes in this month, despite the fact the Yorkshire club have had a look at him.
