Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and David Moyes’s West Ham United are interested in signing Danilo from Palmeiras in the January transfer window, according to Esportes.
Arsenal and West Ham interest in Danilo
Esportes have reported that Arsenal have made a bid of R$160 million (£20.89m) for Palmeiras defensive midfielder Danilo.
The Gunners reportedly want to sign the Brazilian as a replacement for Thomas Partey.
Partey will miss Arsenal’s upcoming games, as he is part of the Ghana squad at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.
West Ham United are also reported to be interested in the Danilo, but they have only enquired and have not put it in a bid.
Esportes have added that Palmeiras do not want to sell Danilo, who has a release clause of R$660 million (£86.18m).
The Brazilian club do not want to sell Danilo before the summer of 2022.

Are Arsenal panicking?
In our opinion, Arsenal are panicking over not having Partey for a few games in the upcoming weeks.
Now, of course, Danilo is a very good defensive midfielder and is only 20.
The Brazilian has won the Copa Libertadores twice, and the Campeonato Paulista and the Copa do Brasil once each.
And, £21 million is not really a lot of money for as big a club as Arsenal.
However, in our opinion, the Gunners need not spend £21 million on a 20-year-old midfielder in the middle of the season.
Granit Xhaka and Albert Sambi Lokonga would do well while Partey is away.
