Reported Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona transfer target Antonio Rudiger is in no rush to make a decision on his Chelsea future, according to Sky Sports.

Sky Sports have reported that Barcelona have joined Tottenham, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus in the race for Chelsea central defender Rudiger.

Madrid, PSG, Bayern and Juventus have opened talks with the defender’s representatives over a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

Barcelona are monitoring the situation of the 28-year-old, according to SkySports.

Sky Sports have reported that ‘Rudiger is in no rush to sign a pre-contract agreement with a new club’, with the Chelsea defender ‘aware there could be interest from Premier League sides if he becomes a free agent in the summer’.

Eurosport reported in December that Tottenham are keen on signing Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

Tottenham are reportedly ‘putting forward a strong proposal’ for the 28-year-old Germany international central defender.

Antonio Rudiger stance encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur

In our opinion, Antonio Rudiger’s stance is very encouraging for Tottenham.

The German not rushing into signing a pre-contract agreement means that Tottenham could still sign him in the summer of 2022.

We have reported here on HITC Sport that Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte wants a new centre-back.

Maybe, just maybe, that could be Rudiger – described as “a superb defender” by former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton on The Monday Night Club on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:39pm, December 13, 2021) – in the summer of 2022.
