Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Rangers could make a bid for Celtic transfer target John Souttar in January, according to The Scottish Sun.
The report has claimed that Rangers are ready to bid for Souttar, also linked with Celtic, if they are able to agree a pre-contract with the Hearts defender.
Souttar is out of contract at Hearts at the end of the season and is able to sign a pre-contract with Rangers in January.
Rangers are reportedly planning to offer a pre-contract to the 25-year-old centre-back, and if he agrees, then they could make a bid to Hearts for him.
The Gers are also ready to offer Vitesse’s Danilho Doekhi a pre-contract.
Rangers plan regarding John Souttar blow for Celtic
Rangers’ bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic are also reportedly keen on Souttar.
The Daily Record reported in November that Celtic and Rangers are interested in the Hearts defender.

Souttar is a very good and experienced defender who would make Celtic a better and stronger team at the back, not just for now, but for years to come.
However, as things stand, it seems that Rangers are more determined than Celtic to sign Souttar.
