Bayern Munich are reportedly prioritising a move for FC Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele over Leeds United attacker Raphinha, who is viewed as a backup option for the Bundesliga giants.
According to L’Equipe, Bayern are eager to sign a winger this year with Kingsley Coman likely to depart the club this summer. As well as Raphinha and Dembele, the German club are keeping tabs on Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi.
However, as per the report, Dembele is Bayern’s number one pick for the position, with Raphinha and the England youth international backup options should the French attacker join another club.
The winger, who joined Barcelona in 2017 for a club-record fee of £135m according to BBC Sport, is set to depart the Catalan side this year when his contract expires in the summer.
Numerous clubs are keen on signing the 24-year-old, with the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham often linked to Dembele. However, it now appears that Bayern have joined the crowded race for the attacker.
Indeed, the future of Dembele will be an interesting one to follow. Yet for Leeds, Bayern’s interest in the former Borussia Dortmund star is a positive sign, as it means the chances of keeping Raphinha have increased.
Leeds fans will be praying Bayern follow up on Dembele interest

Bayern’s reported interest in Raphinha in recent weeks has caused some panic amongst Leeds supporters. However, it appears that the crisis is calming down with each passing day, and this news on Dembele will be another key moment.
After all, Bayern’s interest in the French international means a move for Raphinha is unlikely. And for Leeds fans, they will be hoping the German club beat the likes of Newcastle and Spurs to the attacker’s signature this year.
