90Min claim as many as six Premier League clubs are interested in signing Aaron Ramsey – who could potentially leave on a free transfer. Newcastle are on pole, but Leeds, Leicester, Palace, Wolves and Everton are also keen.
Ramsey, 31, has endured a difficult season at Juventus, since the return of Max Allegri. He has clocked up just five appearances, and only 70 in total since his move to the Old Lady from Arsenal in the summer of 2019.
The 71-time Wales international has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Juventus – and even Allegri has made it clear the player is leaving. He said as much in his press conference, on Wednesday.
90Min report that Newcastle have been offered Ramsey – and Juve could let him go on a free. But that five other Premier League clubs are interested, in Leeds, Leicester, Wolves, Everton and Palace.
Which club is best for Ramsey – Leeds, Newcastle or elsewhere?
Ramsey desperately needs a move. Not only for game time, but to make the most of his dwindling career – and his international duty with Wales. The 2022 World Cup is upcoming, and he will be hoping he is fully fit.
Newcastle would be a good move for Ramsey – at least, on loan, which 90Min suggest. He would get plenty of game time, and gain plenty of enthusiasm from Toon supporters. Leeds could also do with Ramsey.
Whether he could cope with Marcelo Bielsa’s demands is another question. Leicester, Wolves, Palace, Everton, Leeds or Newcastle – Ramsey improves them. But Newcastle probably have the best chance of landing him.
