Rangers may not be signing Zander Clark after all, with Aberdeen and Dundee United now in talks with the St Johnstone man.
The Daily Record reported in November that Rangers were watching Clark ahead of potentially making a move for him.
The idea was for Clark to come in to bolster Rangers’ goalkeeping options if veteran Allan McGregor leaves or retires this summer.
Out of contract at the end of the season, Clark is able to sign a pre-contract agreement – but Rangers have yet to make a move.
Clark, 29, is a boyhood Rangers fans but may not be making the move to Ibrox after all.
The Scottish Sun claim that Aberdeen and Dundee United are now battling for Clark’s signature.

Both clubs could open talks to sign Clark to a pre-contract agreement, whilst two Championship clubs are keen too.
St Johnstone are allegedly resigned to losing Clark this summer, but it doesn’t sound like he will be Rangers-bound.
There is of course time for Rangers to swoop in and sign Clark, but it currently looks like he will be playing for a Scottish Premiership rival next season instead.
