Tottenham Hotspur are now prepared to send midfielder Giovani Lo Celso to Juventus in exchange for wide man Dejan Kulusevski.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Tottenham are willing to send Lo Celso to Turin, with Tuttojuve also reporting the claims.
The story was even on the front page of Gazzetta dello Sport this morning.
In return, they want winger Kulusevski in something of an ambitious swap deal.
Fabio Paratici has a strong relationship with Juventus having only left the club for Tottenham over the summer.
That may give Tottenham a real chance of pulling off this deal, though Lo Celso isn’t the only idea.
Tanguy Ndombele is another player that Tottenham are willing to send to Turin in exchange for Kulusevski.
Juventus feel they have too many players who would like to play on the right side, with Federico Chiesa and Paulo Dybala more important than Kulusevski.
Add in that midfielders Arthur Melo and Aaron Ramsey could be leaving and signing a midfielder could be a priority.
That’s where Tottenham will hope to tempt Juventus into a deal that could suit both parties.
Kulusevski has been branded the ‘new Kevin De Bruyne’ but hasn’t quite got going under Massimiliano Allegri this season.
With just four league starts to his name, Kulusevski is in real danger of stalling at Juventus.
A move to Tottenham could be perfect for him, but it may hinge on whether or not Juventus want Lo Celso or Ndombele.
Lo Celso hasn’t quite lived up to the total £40million deal Tottenham paid out, and using him to land Kulusevski would be backed by many Spurs fans.
