Alan Shearer has stated that Jarrod Bowen has had ‘another excellent’ game for West Ham following their 4-1 win at Watford on Tuesday, as he told Amazon Prime Sport.
The former striker was doing punditry work during Leicester v Liverpool when he was asked about the West Ham win from earlier on in the day and he singled out Bowen.
The 25-year-old would have felt pretty unlucky not to get on the scoresheet after his goal was ruled out by VAR.
But he did provide three assists during the game, as the Hammers secured a much-deserved win after a number of indifferent performances in recent weeks.
This is what Shearer had to say about West Ham’s flying forward and what he does so well during the game.
“He has been fantastic,” said Shearer. “Rightly so, we talk about Rice, Soucek in that midfield and Antonio.
“But the job that Bowen does, in terms of dragging the ball forward, pulling players out of position and going past players. And he has had another excellent game.”

Bowen has nine assists to his name in the Premier League this season and an England call is probably around the corner.
In previous squads, the likes of Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have been selected ahead of the former Hull City man.
But he is putting up much better performances than the Manchester United duo and he deserves that call when Gareth Southgate next names his squad.
Declan Rice is already an established England player, Jesse Lingard got a recall on the back of his performances at the London Stadium and it’s about time Bowen follows suit by earning his maiden call.
