Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports that he was right about Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.

The former Liverpool defender predicted Arsenal’s Smith Rowe to be the ‘Young talent’ in the Premier League at the start of the season.

Now, at the half-way point, the Sky Sports pundit has reminded everyone that he was right about the England international.

Carragher said on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports when asked to look back at his predictions: “Emile Smith Rowe is on fire. Four goals in his last four games.”

Emile Smith Rowe is an Arsenal gem

In our opinion, Smith Rowe has been superb for Arsenal so far this season and is certainly one of the best young players in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, has added goals to his game, and his movement and creativity is top quality.

The Arsenal no. 10 has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 13 Premier League starts for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.

Smith Rowe has scored one goal in two Carabao Cup games for the Gunners.

During the 2020-21 campaign, the 21-year-old scored two goals and gave four assists in 18 Premier League starts for Arsenal.

For Arsenal to finish in the Premier League top four, in our view, Smith Rowe will play a big role.
