Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that Oliver Skipp has got to continue to work hard.
Conte has praised Skipp for his performances for Tottenham under him.
The former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss has high hopes for the 21-year-old midfielder.
However, Conte has made it clear – quite publicly as well – that Skipp needs to continue to work hard if he is to fulfil his potential.
Conte has also praised Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn, amid speculation that Ajax have officially registered their interest in the 24-year-old Netherlands international winger.

Conte said about Skipp: “For Skipp, he’s playing with me regularly no? In every game he’s playing and he’s good.
“He’s making big improvements and I think that he could become one, a very strong midfielder, a really good midfielder.
“He has to continue to work. We are talking about a humble boy, a humble player.
“Oliver feels a lot of sense of belonging to play for Tottenham. For Japhet, for Oliver, it’s a dream. During the game you can see this.”
Conte said about Bergwijn: “I think in front we have three strikers, three important strikers.
“Son, Harry and Lucas and then also Steven Bergwijn is improving day by day. Also he’s showing me that he can be a good option.”

Flourishing
In our opinion, Skipp is flourishing under Conte at Tottenham now.
The 21-year-old is playing regularly for Spurs in midfield and has developed a good partnership with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the middle of the park.
Conte is one of the best managers in the world and has worked with some brilliant players.
The Italian publicly praising Skipp shows just how good the former Norwich City loanee is.
We must not forget that Skipp is only 21 years of age.
The England Under-21 international can still improve and develop in the coming years.
