Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are competing with Barcelona and Lyon for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Sport.
Sport has claimed that Barcelona are looking at signing Aubameyang from Arsenal in the January transfer window.
The striker has fallen out of favour at the Gunners and has not played for Mikel Arteta’s side since his disciplinary breach.
Newcastle and Lyon are also interested in the 32-year-old striker, according to the report.
Could Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Newcastle happen?
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Aubameyang will end up at Newcastle in the January transfer window.
The striker – who has scored 68 goals in 128 Premier League appearances so far in his career – is surely not going to join a team who could end up in the Championship at the end of the season.

Now, of course, Newcastle’s owners PIF could pay the Gabon international striker’s huge wages.
But, from a footballing perspective, we do not think that Aubameyang to Newcastle is feasible.
Of course, in football you just never know, but with Barcelona and Lyon also interested in the striker, we do not think that Newcastle stand a huge chance of signing him.
