Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Lee Buchanan from Derby County in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
The British tabloid has claimed that Forest are planning to make a bid of £1.5 million for the Derby left-back.
The Reds made as many as three bids for Buchanan before Derby went into administration.
Derby want £2 million for the 20-year-old defender, but the Rams may have to sell him.
Lee Buchanan to leave Derby for Nottingham Forest?
Buchanan is a very good left-back, and he is only 20.
So, in our opinion, the England Under-21 international would make Forest a better team, not just for now, but for years to come.
Now, of course, we know the intense rivalry that exists between Forest and Derby.

However, the Rams are in administration and are likely to end up in League One at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Forest are currently seventh in the Championship table with 34 points from 23 matches.
Steve Cooper’s side are only a point off the final playoff spot.
In our view, Buchanan would make Forest better and would enhance their chances of finishing in the Championship top six.
The Derby no. 26 has made 10 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship so far this season.
Buchanan has made 28 starts and seven substitute appearances in the league for the Rams last season, providing three assists in the process.
