According to TNT Sports, Leeds have tabled a R$150m (£19.7m) bid for Atlético Mineiro defender Guilherme Arana.
What’s the story?
Well, it seems Leeds are keen to sign another left-back, despite Junior Firpo arriving at Elland Road as recently as July.
The Brazilian news outlet claims Leeds have already made a bid for the 24-year-old, who won a gold medal at the Olympic Games earlier this year.
Leeds have a good chance of signing the 6-cap Brazil international, as Atlético Mineiro’s domestic campaign is now over and the January window is considered their pre-season.
Arana scored five goals and provided seven assists from left-back in 48 appearances for the Brazilian giants this term.
The South American also played every minute of the aforementioned Olympic Games success, as Tite took a shine to him.
What would Leeds be getting in Guilherme Arana?

Interestingly, the defender once admitted that he models his game on Roberto Carlos, as he idolises the former Brazil and Real Madrid left-back.
As quoted by Spanish news outlet AS, the Leeds target said: “He was always a reference point for me, ever since I was a kid and I watched Brazil on the television. I have always admired him and he is a player I would like to try and emulate.”
If Arana is anything like the iconic set-piece taker, then Marcelo Bielsa would be adding a deadly weapon to his squad.
The question is, what does this news mean for Junior Firpo?

As aforesaid, the Spaniard only arrived at Elland Road in July, so have the Whites already given up on him?
Despite a shaky start, the ex-Barcelona man is improving, so it would be very harsh to replace him already, so soon into his Leeds career.
Having said that, Bielsa may have an alternative plan for Arana.
Only time will tell what happens, but for now, keep an eye on this interesting saga.
