Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is a wanted man – but one agent thinks he is more likely to join Tottenham Hotspur than Newcastle United.
Vlahovic – the next Ibrahimovic?
Vlahovic has been a goal machine for Fiorentina, smashing 16 goals in just 19 outings for the Serie A club.
The Serbian was just as good last season too, bagging 21 times in 37 Serie A games.
Vlahovic looks like becoming the next great striker around Europe, and he clearly thinks highly of himself.
When at Partizan Belgrade, Vlahovic claimed he is the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic – and he is now fulfilling that claim.
Newcastle and Tottenham vying for Vlahovic
Tottenham have long been linked with Vlahovic.
Spurs were keen over the summer and Vlahovic is understood to be a top target for Antonio Conte.
Tottenham are far from alone in the Vlahovic race though, with Newcastle United also interested.
The Sun claim that Newcastle scouted in November and are hoping to tempt Fiorentina into a January deal.
Vlahovic has refused a new contract and can leave for nothing in 2023, meaning Fiorentina are under pressure to sell in 2022.

Antonelli comments on Vlahovic
Agent Stefano Antonelli has now spoken to Tuttomercatoweb about the noises he has heard around a Vlahovic transfer.
Antonelli claims that Vlahovic will absolutely not be renewing his contract with Fiorentina. However, he is more likely to be sold next summer than in January.
Antonelli claims that Newcastle are ‘crazy’ for Vlahovic, but it’s Tottenham who are the most likely destination, claiming they have a ‘very different appeal’.
“Vlahovic’s story with the Viola from a contractual point of view must be considered closed at the moment. But I expect the departure more in the summer than in January,” said Antonelli.
“[Tottenham] is the most accredited solution. Newcastle would be crazy for a player like that today, but Tottenham have a very different appeal,” he added.
With Newcastle battling relegation and Tottenham challenging for European football under Antonio Conte, you can understand Vlahovic’s stance.
