Michael Dawson has stated that rumoured Liverpool target and thriving West Ham star, Jarrod Bowen, has made an ‘incredible’ rise, as he told Sky Sports Football (22/12/21 at 7:35 pm).
The former centre-back played alongside Bowen during their days at Hull City and he stated that he ‘deserves’ everything that is coming his way now.
Bowen was on the scoresheet for West Ham again last night, but this time in a losing cause as the Hammers were dumped out of the League Cup by Tottenham.
Things have been rosy in east London since last season and a player like Bowen, who was purchased for £20 million (BBC Sport), has played a huge part in that.
Dawson shared what the player is doing so well since moving to the Premier League and what he likes about his game.
“I think he has made the step-up incredible,” said Dawson. “When he was at Hull City, he nearly kept them up single-handedly.
“Then, when he went in January, they got relegated. That just proves how important he has been.
“The goals he has scored. He creates. His work rate, up and down, for a defender, it’s a dream to have him in front of you. He finds passes and gets important goals.
“And he has been incredible since he has moved to West Ham. For him, long may it continue because he is a good kid. He has come from the lower leagues, worked his way up through Hull and now he is getting his rewards. And he deserves them.”

Eurosport claim that Liverpool are keen to sign Bowen and they see the West Ham flyer as a ‘perfect solution’ for their forward line.
Of course, Bowen wouldn’t be a starter because a certain Mo Salah will dictate how long he will work his magic from the right on Merseyside.
But Jurgen Klopp has always craved for that depth and, like Diogo Jota is proving, someone like Bowen would provide that in bucket loads.
If the Reds do put money on the table for his talents then it’s going to take something serious to prize him away from the London Stadium because Champions League-chasing West Ham aren’t going to let him go without a fight.
