Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to Lucas Moura singing ‘glory, glory Tottenham Hotspur’ after their win against West Ham on Wednesday night.
Antonio Conte’s side booked their place in the semi-finals of the League Cup by beating their London rivals 2-1 in front of their own supporters.
It was Moura who scored the winning goal in the first half of an action-packed and aggressive-natured affair in north London.
As the camera panned to Moura after the full-time whistle, he could be seen singing along with his supporters, ‘glory, glory Tottenham Hotspur’.
Understandably so, the Spurs faithful loved what their player did and it just further proves why he is a bit of a fan favourite at the club.
Whilst today’s game is centred quite a lot around numbers and statistics, someone like Moura proves why it shouldn’t be.
The former PSG man doesn’t hit the numbers the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son produce.
But with the ball at his feet, his ability to carry the ball with speed, push his team further up, work the ball in tight spaces and link-up play is of high, high quality.
That’s two goals under Conte for Moura and he will be hoping under the Italian he can thrive and take his game to the next level.
