Former West Ham United youngster Sorba Thomas could return to the Premier League with Watford monitoring the Huddersfield Town star ahead of the January transfer window, as reported by The Mail.
If Thomas was to find the net against the Hammers when Watford travel to the London Stadium in February, don’t expect him to hold up his hands in apology to his old employers.
The Wales international was far from impressed about the way his time at West Ham came to an end after all.
“Being told you’re not good enough is a smack in the face,” 22-year-old Thomas said a few weeks ago.
“That was the first time I was told I wasn’t good enough. I didn’t take it well. I didn’t really want to play anymore.
“I kind of fell out of love with the game and tried to look at Plan Bs. My family and friends knew how much I wanted to be a pro footballer and getting back on the horse was hard.
“I started a little Sunday League team for a few months and tried to find the love again. I went to Boreham Wood and success started there really.”
Will West Ham regret letting Sorba Thomas?
Thomas has come a long way since his time in non-league. Quite literally.
He moved nearly 200 miles north to Huddersfield Town 11 months ago and hasn’t looked back, taking the Championship by storm under former Leeds coach Carlos Corberan.

In 24 games this season, the versatile wideman has set up nine goals for his grateful team-mates.
An international debut during Wales’ 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic in October was the fitting reward for a player who has bounced back better and stronger from the pain of rejection.
According to The Mail, the former bricklayers’ outstanding displays have laid the foundations for a return to the top. Watford are interested with the January transfer window now less than a fortnight away.
Watch out West Ham. Thomas has unfinished business and a point to prove.
