Gabriel Martinelli has stated that his Arsenal teammate Alexandre Lacazette is ‘so good’, as he told Sky Sports.

Arsenal put four past Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday evening, with Martinelli netting a brace and his third goal of the week.

The 20-year-old was a constant threat for his side, and despite the four goals they scored, it should have been more.

Lacazette had a number of guilt-edge opportunities, especially in the first half, but Illan Meslier ensured that his team didn’t concede seven once more.

After the game, Martinelli lauded Lacazette and the unselfish quality he showcases without the ball.

“He is so good at that,” said Martinelli. “He always attracts the centre-halves, then I have the chance to go in behind.

“We are doing it really well.”

When Arsenal lost their first three games of the season, and that without scoring a single goal, many felt that Mikel Arteta’s time at the club was up.

But he is starting to showcase his worth and Arsenal have now planted themselves into the fourth spot.

Even though they have played a game or games extra than those around them, from a phycological standpoint, it’s a big plus for all involved.

The Gunners have been accused of being flat-track bullies this term and beating the teams they are expected to beat.

But even last season, they weren’t even doing that and, at the end of the day, the aim was to get back into Champions League and they are on course for that so far.
