Gary Neville praised Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu on Sky Sports Premier League (6:45pm, December 18, 2021) while watching him in action against Leeds United at Elland Road.

The Sky Sports pundit said that Tomiyasu has made a big difference at Arsenal.

Neville pointed out how the Japan international right-back helps centre-back Ben White.

Arsenal won 4-1 against Leeds at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Praise for Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu

Neville said about Tomiyasu: “I like him. He has made a big difference to Ben White at right centre-back.”

Big player for Arsenal

Tomiyasu has been superb for Arsenal since he moved to the Gunners in the summer of 2021.

The Gunners paid Bologna £19.8 million (Sky Sports) for the 23-year-old, who can also play as a centre-back.

Tomiyasu has established himself as the first-choice right-back for manager Mikel Arteta.

The Arsenal no. 18 has made 15 appearances in the Premier League so far this season.

He has provided one assist in those games.

In our opinion, Tomiyasu has made Arsenal a better and more competent team at the back.

The Japanese right-back is very good in the air, and his ability to play as a centre-back shows in his decision-makings.
