According to Tuttosport, Juventus are interested in signing Arsenal misfit Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amid doubts over his future.

What’s the story?

Well, the £250,000-a-week man is currently training alone after being disciplined by Mikel Arteta.

The Telegraph believe Aubameyang will not return to first-team training at London Colney until after the Africa Cup of Nations.

It is also said that the Gunners are open to offers for their No.14, who looks to have burned his bridges at Arsenal.

Interestingly, SPORT claimed that Aubameyang wants to leave the Emirates Stadium after losing the captaincy, with Barcelona interested in his services.

Now, Juventus have joined the race, and Tuttosport believe a six-month loan deal could be a possibility for the £56m man.

Arsenal must sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang now

In our view, a six-month loan deal could backfire for Arsenal.

Yes, it would give them more time to assess the situation, but it must be noted that Aubameyang is not playing well at the moment, to say the least.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has scored just four goals in 14 Premier League appearances.

If he joined Juventus on loan, and continued to struggle over in Serie A, it would do serious damage to the value of Arsenal’s asset.

The Gunners would then be left in a weaker negotiating position when it comes to the summer transfer window, and would either be stuck with his huge wages, or forced into accepting a cut-price offer.

Simply put, Edu must only agree to a permanent sale this winter, so Arsenal can move on from this situation for good.
