While it was released a couple of months back, Kodak Black’s Super Gremlin has started trending this week after the rapper shared a tweet that claimed it was the ‘number one song in the world’ as per Siri.

Who is Super Gremlin about?
Super Gremlin is the fourth track on Nightmare Babies, an album presented by Kodak Black’s record label Sniper Gang.
The song sees Kodak Black rap about lost bonds and betrayal as he reminisces over a past friendship.
Through the lyrics, he reflects on his time with a former close friend and their dreams of being “superstars” together, and how those days are now over as Kodak says that person has “switched.”
The rapper is yet to address publically who the song is about however, Redditors have linked the track to fellow Florida rapper Jackboy.

What happened between Kodak Black and Jackboy?
Kodak Black and Jackboy are childhood friends, having grown up in the same neighbourhood in Florida.
Over the years, the two became known for their friendship with, Jackboy previously referring to Kodak as his “right-hand man” and “real deal best friend” in an interview with XXL in 2019.
However, a rift between the two rappers was said to have been sparked over the summer. In June, the two were reported to have posted cryptic tweets about each other, with Kodak said to have first alluded to Jackboy as he tweeted: “Made A ‘M’ Off Lil Jack.”
As per Hot New Hip Hop, Jackboy addressed the situation on an Instagram Live as he said he said he didn’t want to have a public argument: “I’m not gonna go in detail or explain sh*t to nobody. I don’t care. I do not care about Instagram that much.”
However, according to Complex, the beef between the two has since continued over the following months.

Is Super Gremlin really the number 1 song in the world?
Kodak Black left some fans confused on Thursday (16 December) after he posted a screenshot of what looked to show Siri playing Super Gremlin following the command ‘play the number one song in the world.’
The post saw many fans try it for themselves, with some claiming on Twitter it worked for them:
The command seems to relate to Apple Music as the track is currently at the number one spot on the services Top 100: Global chart above Adele’s Easy On Me. It is not however currently at the top of the Billboard 100.
This is not the first time, an artist has flexed on the success on their track using the phrase to Siri. Following the release of the Young Thug track Hot in 2019, Gunna, who featured on the track, tested the phrase on Siri, which went on to play the track.
