It’s that time of year when delivery dudes are constantly at your door trying to drop off last-minute Christmas gifts. Hermes has drafted in extra staff to get parcels to town but sometimes the mail just doesn’t get through. Of course, TikTok users just had to poke fun at delivery companies. Let’s take a look…

It all began when a reporter for The Times went undercover at a Hermes factory in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire in the UK and claimed to see couriers “throwing parcels across a warehouse”.

That led to one user – Braderz.nkp – to post a comedy sketch about parcel delivery on TikTok that has gone viral.

Other users jest in the comments that couriers never deliver to the front door but choose “random places” to leave parcels instead.

It seems TikTokers are hitting out at many delivery couriers as they await their Christmas gifts.

‘Safe space’

Ever asked your courier to “leave the parcel in a safe space” and then found it over the fence or behind the dustbins?

If so, you might enjoy this TikTok video, which has garnered more than 63.1k likes and 1.2 million views. The comments section has erupted in praise for Braderz.nkp’s comedic take on the situation.

In the video, the TikTok creator pretends to work for different delivery companies and jokes about how they might drop off his parcels. The companies in the video or the delivery workers themselves might not find it so funny.

Delivery companies in league table

As Christmas time fast approaches, delivery workers are getting tighter deadlines and are having to work faster than ever.

Last month, Citizens Advice published a league table comparing the performance of top delivery companies. You can see the table here.
