In many people’s eyes, Jude Bellingham is the best teenage footballer on the planet, given what he’s already achieved in the game.

The 18-year-old has quickly racked up 114 senior appearances, as well as ten caps for England.

However, a teenage sensation wanted by Liverpool and Newcastle is currently outperforming him – Bayer Leverkusen gem Florian Wirtz.

What’s the story?

Well, the 18-year-old has enjoyed a simply stunning 2021/22 campaign so far, and has played like a future Ballon d’Or winner.

Wirtz – who already has four caps for Germany – has remarkably scored eight goals while also providing 11 assists in all competitions.

His efforts have earned him a 7.35 rating from WhoScored, making him the best performing teenager in Europe’s top five leagues so far this term.

The teenager’s fine form comes amid a report from German outlet BILD, which claimed that Liverpool and Newcastle want to sign the Bayer Leverkusen No.27.

Liverpool or Newcastle must sign Florian Wirtz ASAP

If nobody signs the teenage sensation in 2022, we fear his price tag will absolutely soar in 2023.

He is playing at a level far beyond his years.

For example, Premier League clubs sat and watched Borussia Dortmund take Bellingham from Birmingham for £25m, and he’s now being spoken about as a £100m player (BBC).

To be outperforming Bellingham takes some doing, as the England international is having a fine season himself with three goals and nine assists in all competitions.

Keep an eye on Wirtz, as we’d be very surprised if a number of bids didn’t arrive in Bayer Leverkusen’s inbox this summer.
