Arsenal and Liverpool are both chasing Toronto wonderkid Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, who has been earning huge praise over in Canada.

Marshall-Rutty wanted by Arsenal and Liverpool

MLS Soccer report that Marshall-Rutty is now over in England training with Liverpool.

They also claim that Marshall-Rutty has been on trial with Arsenal too as he looks for a Premier League move.

A number of Champions League clubs are though to be keen on Marshall-Rutty, but Liverpool and Arsenal are trying to gain more information.

The 17-year-old already has 11 first-team appearances for Toronto and primarily plays as a right-sided winger.

Who is Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty?

Born in Ontario, Marshall-Rutty seems to be the next big thing in Canada, even earning comparisons to Alphonso Davies.

What will really excite Arsenal and Liverpool fans about Marshall-Rutty is the verdict of John Herdman.

Herdman, who hails from the North East, is the Canadian national team boss and is seeing Marshall-Rutty emerge before his eyes.

Goal quote Herdman as saying that Marshall-Rutty has ‘game-breaking personality’ even at the age of just 17.

Herdman talked up the winger’s ‘X-Factor’ ability, even claiming he was scoring Marco van Basten-style goals in training.

The Davies comparison was exciting enough, but if Arsenal or Liverpool can get their hands on Marshall-Rutty, they could have a major star.
