David Moyes says West Ham United are ‘pushing hard’ for Aaron Cresswell to make his return from injury away to Arsenal on Wednesday night, via quotes by football.london.
The Irons have been without Cresswell for their last three Premier League games whilst he recovers from a back injury. The full-back sustained the issue during their 2-1 loss away to Manchester City last month, but was touch and go to feature against Burnley last Sunday.
Moyes opted for caution at Turf Moor with Arthur Masuaku starting the goalless stalemate in place of Cresswell. The Hammers boss was also without Ben Johnson in Lancashire, with the academy product recovering from a hamstring gripe sustained in victory over Chelsea.

Cresswell had started each of West Ham’s opening 13 Premier League fixtures up until their draw with Brighton last month. He also played the full 90-minutes in all 12 of his outings before departing with half-an-hour remaining at Manchester City.
Cresswell pushing for West Ham return at Arsenal
Moyes is managing a handful of injuries in the West Ham squad, including Cresswell, ahead of facing Arsenal in midweek. But the Irons boss is hopeful he can recall his side’s £2m star.
“I think we’ve got people who’ve got injuries,” Moyes said. “We’re hoping Cressy’s got a chance and we’re pushing hard for him to be ready for the game.
“At the moment, we have no covid in the camp. But we don’t feel that we’re any different to any other football club in that it could happen to us.
“It’s a real tough shift to play three games in six-days – it’s not easy.”

West Ham return to Premier League action at home to Norwich City on Saturday to round out their three games in a week.
Cresswell returning from his injury to face Arsenal will give Moyes a big boost, then, as the West Ham boss can better manage his squad than rely heavily on Masuaku once again.
Masuaku has only started two of his five top-flight outings so far this season after opening trips to Manchester City and Burnley. He had also only played four-minutes in total before facing the Citizens, alongside sporadic minutes in the Europa League and Carabao Cup.
