Pundit Fara Williams has said on BBC Sport that Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea did not deserve the late penalty against Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United.

Leeds suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League on Saturday.

Jorginho scored a late penalty – his second of the match – to help the Blues to all three points.

Mateusz Klich was adjudged to have brought down Antonio Rudiger, and Italy international midfielder Jorginho made no mistake from the spot.

Former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Williams, who played 172 times for the England women’s team, now works as a pundit for BBC Sport.

Williams was following the match between Chelsea and Leeds, and she was not impressed by the late penalty decision.

The 37-year-old told BBC Sport: “It’s not a pen. If that’s a penalty, the games gone crazy. The game’s gone, hasn’t it? There’s minimal contact.”

Controversial decision

It was a controversial decision from the officials, and Leeds fans will surely agree with Williams.

Now, there was contact, but was there enough to merit a contact?

It was one of those decisions that could have gone either way.

While Chelsea will be pleased with the three points, Leeds should be satisfied with the way they played and gave the Blues a run for their money.
