Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been once again full of praise for Aaron Ramsdale after his performance against Everton.
Arsenal were beaten by Everton on Monday, and while the Gunners were unable to get anything against the Toffees, one moment from Ramsdale impressed Seaman.
Indeed, Seaman noted that before Richarlison’s equaliser Ramsdale actually made a fantastic save, but he feels as though the goalkeeper won’t get any credit due to the fact the rebound was converted.
What’s been said about Ramsdale?
Seaman gave Ramsdale credit for his stop against Everton.
“The Arsenal result wasn’t one that we were after. It was disappointing that we took control of the game, got the lead and didn’t back it up. We let Everton come onto us and get into the game and then they equalised. Richarlison’s header was brilliant, but if you watch it Aaron actually tips it onto the bar. He makes another brilliant save, but this time it won’t be mentioned because they scored straight away from that rebound,” Seaman said.

Life of a goalkeeper
Unfortunately, as Seaman probably knows, that is the life of a goalkeeper.
You can make the greatest save in the world and receive no credit, but if you make even the slightest mistake, you will be blamed.
Goalkeepers don’t get the glory they deserve, and while Ramsdale did make a fantastic save, he won’t receive any credit for it due to the fact Everton scored immediately afterwards.
Luckily, Ramsdale has Seaman watching his back and giving him the praise he deserves on this podcast.
It’s fair to say that the goalkeeper’s union is alive and well.
