Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter over hearing how many people at Hotspur Way have tested positive for covid.

Tottenham have a major coronavirus crisis in North London at the moment.

Antonio Conte’s side were due to take on Rennes in a Europa Conference League clash in England tonight.

But Sky Sports have reported that the contest has been postponed due to a worsening situation at the Lilywhites.

According to Italian journalist Di Marzio, no fewer than 20 of Tottenham’s players and club staff have now tested positive.

And here’s how a collection of Tottenham supporters are reacting on Twitter:

Getting worse

Indeed, this crisis seems to be getting rapidly out of hand.

Only yesterday, Sky Sports reported that the figure was 13, so for that number to grow by seven in such a short period of time is, well, extremely concerning.

Remember, Tottenham already have a game in hand in the Premier League after the Burnley contest was postponed in November.

And with this weekend’s clash against Brighton hanging in the balance, things are worrying in N17.

The December fixture schedule in English football is already infamous for its intensity, with the outings coming thick and fast.

So for Tottenham to potentially have three games to squeeze in somewhere – one in Europe, two Premier League – seems, honestly, impossible.
