According to Torcedores, Pablo Mari is now unhappy at Arsenal due to his lack of playing time under Mikel Arteta, with Flamengo interested.
What’s the story?
Well, the £85,000-a-week man has only made two Premier League appearances this season, and barely plays under Arteta.
Now, a return to Brazil is said to be a real possibility, with Flamengo in a position to take the 28-year-old on loan.
However, for reasons Torcedores do not specify, Edu does not want to send Mari to a South American club.
Presumably, Arsenal’s Director of Football feels the level of quality in Brazil will not benefit Mari, as it isn’t comparable to the Premier League.
The Brazilian centre-back has found life at the Emirates Stadium difficult following the £50m arrival of Ben White, who has struck up a fine partnership with Gabriel Magalhães.
Behind them, Arteta also has Rob Holding and Calum Chambers.
Why did Arsenal sign Pablo Mari?

Since replacing Unai Emery, Arteta has made a number of strange signings, such as the capture of Willian.
However, Mari is arguably the Spaniard’s worst purchase.
In total, the Arsenal No.22 cost £14m, and is also one of the highest earners at the club with an £85,000-a-week salary.

He is far from first choice under Arteta, despite only arriving in June 2020.
As far as transfer blunders go, the Gunners have made a big one here.
Now, they’re left with an unhappy player who has done nothing in north London to increase his value – very poor business indeed.
