Liverpool fans loved seeing Zlatan Ibrahimovic collect Ibrahima Konate’s shirt at full-time last night.

Trading shirts

Konate had given Ibrahimovic some rough treatment during the game, as Liverpool picked up a 2-1 win at the San Siro.

The young Reds centre-back had the better of the veteran striker for the entirety of the match.

But it seemed that there were no hard feelings between the pair at full-time, as they traded shirts.

And Liverpool fans certainly enjoyed seeing a legend of the game holding their new recruit’s kit at full-time.

Now, it is not clear if Ibrahimovic was the one who asked for Konate’s shirt.

But the Swede would surely have been very impressed with Konate’s display.

Perhaps he was thinking about what a star Konate could become at Anfield, when getting another shirt to add to add to his collection.

A big display

So far, Klopp has used the former RB Leipzig defender sparingly since he moved to Anfield in the summer.

But Konate is rapidly showing exactly why Liverpool brought him to the club.

He possesses great pace to fit in with Liverpool’s high-line, but he is also very comfortable in possession.

Konate seems to be learning by the game right now, and his display against Milan last night will only help his cause to start more regularly in the Premier League.
